Overview
Cadan Resources Corporation (Symbol CNF-TSXV) is a junior mineral exploration company engaged in the exploration and development of precious and base metal projects located in the Philippines and in Colombia. Its corporate objective is to advance the exploration of each project to the point where it can be developed economically either by itself or in a development joint venture.
In the Philippines the company’s exploration activities are focused in two highly mineralized areas in the prolific Eastern Mindanao Magmatic Arc: in Compostela Valley Province at its Tagpura-Kalamatan Copper Gold Porphyry and the recently discovered Cadan Copper Gold Porphyry Prospect, and in South Central Mindanao at its T'Boli Gold-Silver Deposit..
Cadan commenced exploration of its Philippines projects in 2003 and the results of this work are now beginning to demonstrate the high potential of these projects with the discovery of a significant new discovery known as the “Cadan Copper-Gold Porphyry Target” in addition to the three known copper-gold deposits in the Tagpura Kalamatan Copper Gold Porphyry Belt.
Geophysics
The comprehensive Geophysical survey currently underway is being conducted by Elliott Geophysics International Pty Ltd headed by Dr Peter J Elliott, M.Sc. Ph.D. M.Aus IMM (pictured left).
The current approach is to use deep penetrating Induced Polarisation to locate any mineralised intrusives beneath the currently known mineralisation as well as defining the stockwork systems.
Ground magnetics is being used as an ancillary method to help distinguish between different alteration zones associated with the known mineralisation.
Drilling Operations
Cadan is undertaking its own drilling operations based on a “company managed- contractor operated” approach.
In this, Consultant Driller Mr Wayne D McCallum (pictured above right) is directing and supervising the drilling operations and has appointed an experienced local driller, Nilo Cabrina (pictured centre above) to operate the Long year 44 drill rig and to supervise immediate activities.
The company has appointed Mr Jun Daclan to manage all drilling requirements including local labor and material.
