Brett Taylor, Director, President & CEO
Brett Taylor is a resident of the Philippines. He has more than 20 years of
experience in the mineral industry covering operations and administration. He is a
director of Philco Mining Corporation Inc and TMC Tribal Mining Inc. He is the
Secretary of the Mindanao Association for Mineral Industries (MINA), Inc.
Robert Gordon Butchart, Director, Chief Operating Officer
Robert "Butch" Butchart has been involved in the mining industry for more than
25 years. He has owned and operated exploration companies and drilling rigs in
Australia and overseas, has been heavily involved in heap leaching operations
and narrow vein underground gold mines.
William (Bill) Goode, Director Technical
Bill Goode is a Graduate of the West Australian School of Mines, in Mining
Geology and Mine Surveying, and holds a current Underground Supervisor's
Certificate of Competency. He has more than 45 years of experience in geology,
mining and mineral exploration, including resource calculations. His experience
covers gold and silver, base metals and uranium in Australia and Asia.
Previously, he held the position of Chief Geologist at Lake View and Star's
Fimiston underground gold mine and was assistant Chief Geologist for Great
Boulder Mine's three underground nickel mines where he gained extensive
experience in nickel exploration. He was also Chief Mine Geologist for Metals
Exploration in the Philippines (three years) and Australia.
Since 1981, he has worked as a consulting Geologist and has owned and
operated underground gold mines. During this period, he conducted resource
calculations for BHP, Esso, WMC and a number of other clients. Other activities
have included prospectus preparation, fund raising and prospect identification
and development to pre-mining feasibility.
A recent example is the identification, resource drilling and resource calculation of
the Sherlock Bay sulphide nickel project, where a J.O.R.C. compliant resource of
some 50 Mt was established from 2002 onwards. Also, during this period, the
large Balmoral South magnetite iron ore project (currently under an Aud$2B
development) and the promising Mount Salt uranium prospect were identified.
Doug Evans, Director
Doug Evans has a Doctorate in Medicine from Queens University, with specialty
training in Anesthesiology from Dalhousie University and the University of British
Columbia. He also has training in accounting and Canadian finance and
securities. Doug has been a shareholder in Cadan since its inception and a
director since 2004
Alan Phillips, Director
Alan Phillips has more than 40 years experience in business, including the
international mineral industry, covering M&A, JVs and raising capital. He is a
director of International Gold Mining Inc (TSX-V) and Macarthur Minerals Ltd.
Ron Huston -Technical Advisor Mining
Mr. Huston has more than 40 years management and operational experience in
underground mining throughout Australia and in Southern Ukraine covering gold,
copper-gold and nickel operations, with emphasis on administration, management
and cost control systems.
He owned and operated a mining contract business with an annual turnover of
AUD$40m which was sold in 1995. Some of the significant contracts were:
Youanmi – gold and base metals project with a contract value of AUD$25M and
work involved decline access to fill stopping methods; Lady Eloise copper-gold
project with contract value AUD$15M and work included new mine decline access
to sub level stopping methods; Mt Isa Mines – Hilton Shaft project with contract
value AUD$12M and work included declining from shaft bottom and installing ore
production development.
He also has significant experience in underground, narrow vein, high grade gold
operations and similar style copper-gold systems, including ground support
control, dilution minimization, shaft sinking, declining, diesel and rail ore
production systems and Alimak raising methods.
Derick Sinclair CA, BComm. Chief Financial Officer
Derick Sinclair has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor and
was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia in 1985
having articled with KPMG. He joined BC Rail, Canada's third largest railway as a
treasury analyst. He progressed through BC Rail's finance department and in
1992 was BC Rail's Manager, General Accounting.
