John D. Anderson
Director & Chairman of the Board

John Anderson holds a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario and is the co-founder of Aquastone Capital Advisors LP, a US based gold investment fund. With over 15 years experience in the capital markets, Mr. Anderson’s specialty is identifying undervalued opportunities in the resource industry and investing capital into these situations.

John Anderson has assisted in a number of successful turn-around situations, providing financing, investor relations and corporate development services for a number of small-cap companies.

Robert Gordon Butchart

Robert “Butch” Butchart has been involved in the mining industry for more than 25 years. He has owned and operated exploration companies and drilling rigs in Australia and overseas, has been  involved in heap leaching operations and narrow vein underground gold mines.

William (Bill) Goode
Director Technical
Bill Goode is a Graduate of the West Australian School of Mines, in Mining Geology and Mine Surveying, and holds a current Underground Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency. He has more than 45 years of experience in geology, mining and mineral exploration, including resource calculations. His experience covers gold and silver, base metals and uranium in Australia and Asia.

Previously, he held the position of Chief Geologist at Lake View and Star’s Fimiston underground gold mine and was assistant Chief Geologist for Great Boulder Mine’s three underground nickel mines where he gained extensive experience in nickel exploration. He was also Chief Mine Geologist for Metals Exploration in the Philippines (three years) and Australia.

Since 1981, he has worked as a consulting Geologist and has owned and operated underground gold mines. During this period, he conducted resource calculations for BHP, Esso, WMC and a number of other clients. Other activities have included prospectus preparation, fund raising and prospect identification and development to pre-mining feasibility.

A recent example is the identification, resource drilling and resource calculation of the Sherlock Bay sulphide nickel project, where a J.O.R.C. compliant resource of some 50 Mt was established from 2002 onwards. Also, during this period, the large Balmoral South magnetite iron ore project (currently under an Aud$2B development) and the promising Mount Salt uranium prospect were identified.

Doug Evans
Director
Doug Evans has a Doctorate in Medicine from Queens University, with specialty training in Anesthesiology from Dalhousie University and the University of British Columbia. He also has training in accounting and Canadian finance and securities. Doug has been a shareholder in Cadan since its inception and a director since 2004.

François Marland, LL.M.
Director
Mr. Marland brings a vast array of business and investment experience to the Cadan Resources Board of Directors. He has over twenty years of global business experience and is a published author. Mr. Marland completed his Masters of Law in France in 1979 and went on to teach and practice law until 1987. Mr. Marland founded a group of 100 companies from 1987 until 1992. His group was composed of various industrial, distributional, internet and financial companies. In 1992 he sold the group, which by that time consisted of 4,500 employees, for $8 billion French Francs. He then turned his attention to investing in capital risk ventures. Since selling his group in 1992, Mr. Marland has acted as an advisor and capital risk-taker to more than 300 companies from different sectors of the market.

Derick Sinclair CA, BComm.

Derick has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia in 1985 having articled with KPMG. He has more than 20 years experience in management, financing and accounting serving as Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, Manager Accounting, Secretary, and on the Board of Directors of various private and publicly-traded companies. He brings a commitment to success and extensive experience in strategic planning, budgeting, setting up and operating financial systems, reporting requirements for public companies, and connections in Vancouver’s business community.

Simon Solomonidis, B.Sc. E.Eng., M.Sc. S.Eng.

Simon Solomonidis, B.Sc. E.Eng., M.Sc. S.Eng.Mr. Solomonidis is a seasoned senior executive, with strong general management, sales and marketing experience, coupled with exceptional financial skills, gained through a rich, high exposure international career path with Hewlett-Packard Europe. Throughout his 30 year career at HP, he has been exposed to both mature as well as high growth, cost constrained environments and has been in charge of multi-million dollar business programs, including major restructuring ones, developing and managing international business teams in multi-country, multi-culture operations. He has demonstrated relentless focus on business results, having exceeded revenue and profit goals in all his assignments and has acquired excellent strategic and leadership skills. He is particularly strong in managing business program execution/implementation, as well as in negotiating complex deals at senior executive level. Mr. Solomonidis holds a M.Sc. in Systems Engineering and a B.Sc in Electronic Engineering from the Universities of London and Birmingham in the UK, as well as an MBA in Economics from the Open University, UK. Mr. Solomonidis is currently working as an independent sales and management consultant.

Ms Monita Faris

Monita Faris was educated at the University of Central Florida and obtained her BA in English. Based in Vancouver, she has worked as a consultant for the past 12 years providing corporate and securities compliance services to private and public companies. Ms Faris actively attends securities programs and courses offered by the B.C. Securities Commission, the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C. and the Toronto Stock Exchange. She is currently responsible for the corporate and regulatory compliance aspects of several OTCBB, TSX, TSX.V and Canadian National Stock Exchange (CNSX) companies.
